PSE&G workers came into Kearny at 11 p.m. on Tuesday night after being notified by Kearny police that there was a power shortage on Kearny and Locust Avenue. Upon further investigation, some of the wires shorted out (know as a routine burnout) and kicked out the street and traffic lights. All power was restored immediately and the PSE&G workers further repaired damaged wires finishing up by 4:30 on Wednesday, according to Sgt. John Manley.
