Kearny BOE open discussion
KEARNY – The Community Liaison Committee of the Kearny Board of Education will hold an Open Discussion meeting on Tuesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. in the Board Room, Franklin School, 100 Davis Avenue. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND!

School board candidacy information
KEARNY – The deadline for filing nominating petitions to run for three positions on the Kearny Board of Education is 4 p.m., Monday, March 2. The Annual School Election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Prospective school board candidates can obtain a “School Board Candidate Kit” at the Board of Education Office, 100 Davis Avenue, which includes a nominating petition and information about the legal qualifications for school board candidacy and the role of a school board member. Information about the New Jersey School Ethics Act, important dates in the school election process, and briefing sessions for school board candidates is also included in the kit.

KBOE special meeting
The Kearny Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Monday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. in the Board Room, 100 Davis Avenue, Kearny.
The agenda for the meeting will include the following:
1. District personnel matters
2. Closed Session discussion of legal issues pertaining to student disciplinary matters, with any necessary action to take place immediately thereafter in Open Session.
3. Any additional business to come before the Board
