Arlington Juniors Scrap for a Cause

The Junior Woman’s Club of Arlington is hosting its first “Scrapbooking Crop” on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. at The Salvation Army, 443 Chestnut Street, Kearny. Scrapbookers and crafters will have 14 hours of uninterrupted time and plenty of table space to work on their handicraft.
Tickets are $50 and include a full food and beverage service of breakfast, lunch, and dinner – served by the Arlington Juniors. A variety of vendors will offer the latest scrapbook supplies, makeup, and massages.
The first foursome to register will get VIP treatment. All registered guests will be entered into a drawing for “Queen of the Scrap.”
To be entered in the door prizes, please bring a donation of a skein of yarn to benefit Project Linus or bring one or more of the following items to benefit the NJSFWC-JM State Project – Foster and Adoptive Family Services (preferably new or gently used). Proceeds from the fundraising event will be donated to FAFS.

The Junior Woman’s Club of Arlington, founded on April 26, 1927, is one of the oldest women’s volunteer service organizations in Kearny. Since April 27, 1928, Arlington Juniors have maintained active membership in the General Federation of Women’s Clubs that provides opportunities for education, leadership training, and community service.
