URWA - Special interests are fast-tracking a bill, the Permit Extension Act, to rollback environmental protections and extend development permits. Unfortunately, the NJ Legislature has shown support for this bill and needs to hear from YOU, the public they serve. The Permit Extension Act, if passed, will seriously jeopardize pubic health, the character of our communities, and the natural resources upon which we depend. Preserving a high quality of life requires that we make responsible and informed decisions regarding development, and this bill would prevent that logic from being applied to past and future development projects. I strongly urge you to consider the implications of this bill and amend it to provide the protections that our communities deserve. Don’t allow developers to benefit at the communities' expense.
