Property owners settle on HRA case

HARRISON - The holdout property owners involved in the two-year eminent domain war with Harrison Waterfront Development Project developers - Anthony DeRose, Manny Amaral, and Steve Adler - finally settled (in that order) their lawsuits at Superior Court in Jersey City as of 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
The holdouts came to a finacial agreement as the three property owners reached a deal with the Harrison Redevelopment Agency at various points in the week-long hearing. Judge Maurice Gallipoli presided over the lengthy proceedings.
"Now we can move forward - this has been a big stumbling block for us," HRA Chairman Peter Higgins said.
