KEARNY – The members of Kearny P.B.A. #21 are pleased to announce that they will once again award scholarship funds to two high school seniors who are residents of the Town of Kearny. Each will receive a $1,000.00 Savings Bond.
Candidates for this scholarship must be planning to continue his or her education, preferably in a criminal justice field, at an accredited institution of higher education, including universities, colleges and vocational or technical schools.
Candidates for this scholarship should be of sound character and should also be actively involved in school activities. Other criteria to be considered will be involvement in community, civic and/or church activities and organizations.
Students wishing to apply for the scholarship are encouraged to see their guidance counselor for an application. Applications may also be picked up at the Kearny Police Headquarters located at 237 Laurel Avenue.
Completed applications must be received by April 1, 2009. Winners of the scholarships will be announced in time for graduation.
