Scholarships for Hispanic NJ college students

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR NEW JERSEY STUDENTS

In these uncertain economic times, the cost of college tuition seems more daunting than ever before. With the average cost of tuition in 2008 equaling more than $25,000, it’s no wonder students are having trouble making ends meet. Luckily, Enterprise Rent-A-Car has partnered with the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey to provide financial support for standout students.
“We recognize that the financial burden of tuition can hurt a student’s ability to excel and achieve educational success,” Carole Lakin, group relations manager of Enterprise Rent-A-Car in New York and New Jersey said. “We’ve partnered with the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey in order to help promising young students focus on their education and future goals rather than financial concerns.”
In order to qualify, applicants must currently be enrolled in a four year accredited college or university and be a senior as of September 2009 in the state of New Jersey. The student must be majoring in business administration, marketing, accounting, communications or related majors with a minimum grade point average of 2.5.
Three winners will be selected for the scholarship/internship. Each will receive a paid internship at Enterprise Rent-A-Car through the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey. The winners will also receive $2000 from the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation towards their college education.
Applications are being accepted now and scholarships will be awarded the summer of 2009. To apply for the scholarship/internship please contact Carole Lakin at 973-709-2361 or carole.s.lakin@erac.com.
