Healcare forum for seniors

Lyndhurst Health Care Forum for Senior Benefits
Please join the Lyndhurst Health Department on Wednesday September 16th from 9:30 a.m. until noon for our first Health Care Forum. In a partnership with Good Shepherd Day Care of Lyndhurst, the Lyndhurst Health Department will present this workshop to help you receive current information about your Medicare and Medicaid benefits as well as your health care benefits in the State of New Jersey. State Senator Loretta Weinberg, keynote speaker, will discuss the latest plans for health care in New Jersey and touch briefly on health care reform for the nation. State Senator Loretta Weinberg will answer questions and stress the ways NJ will continue to support our seniors.
Ragae Wassaf will discuss what adult day cares have to offer and how they can be subsidized to make it an affordable option. Representatives from the US Department of Health and Senior Services, AmeriChoice, and Aetna will be on hand to explain Medicare and Medicaid benefits and options. You will also learn about transportation benefits available from Medicare and Medicaid.
Free refreshments and blood pressure checks will be available. Reservations are required. Please call the Lyndhurst health Department at 201-804-2500 to reserve your seat.
