Bomb scare at Marshall's

KEARNY - There I was just minding my own business coming back from yoga class and what do I see but a Jersey City K-9 Unit zooming down the Pike onto Passaic Avenue. It being late, I figured I turn up Woodland Avenue down the road and see if there was any parking left on Devon Street.
Much to my surprise, there was a pack of Kearny police cars blocking off the entrance to Path Mark. Being a good reporter I made an illegal U-turn on Passaic Avenue and headed toward Kearny Fire Department who was located in the parking lot to the side of Marshalls.
After all was said and done at around 8:50 p.m. and the K-9 left the Marshall's building and Deputy Chief Joe Viscuso came over to tell this reporter/editor that someone made a call to Marshall's at 7:45 p.m. and said the place was going to blow in 10 minutes.
KPD, including Lt. John Gouveia and Sgt. Fergie, the Jersey City K-9 and company, Kearny Engine 1 and Ladder 1 made their way back to their posts by 8:55 or so.
I just wanted to say that whatever inconsiderate prankster that did such a VERY WRONG thing as to waste these men's time when they have better things to do like protect our towns, he or she should consider the possible consequences of a false alarm. Taking much needed manpower off our streets is unconscionable.
