Mass at St. Stephen’s Church for Fr. John P. Washington

On Sunday, Feb. 1, at noon, Most Rev. Edgar DaCunha will commemorate the 66th Anniversary of the death of Fr. John P. Washington. Veterans groups from throughout the state will participate in the Mass.

Fr. Washington served as an Assistant Pastor at St. Stephen’s when WWII broke out. In May 1942 he enlisted as Chaplain. He was aboard the USS Dorchester when it was torpedoed on Feb. 3 1943. All are welcome!
