St. Stephen School Drama Club presents “Grease”
Friday and Saturday, March 27 and 28
The curtain goes up on the St. Stephen School Drama Club production of "Grease" next weekend, Friday March 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 28 at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the School Auditorium, 131 Midland Avenue. Tickets are on sale at the School Office, 131 Midland Avenue, Kearny. Ticket price for all performances is $5.
The SSS Drama Club, which is comprised of 5th through 8th grade students from St. Stephen School, is completely supported through the efforts of volunteers, including current and former teachers, students’ parents, and even St. Stephen alumni. “And our show is completely dependent upon the funds that we receive from our program and ticket sales,” says Joseph Ferriero, the Club’s founder and director. He hopes the school, parish and Kearny communities will come out for the performances. “If you missed ‘Grease’ on Broadway,” he added, “ here’s your chance to see it here in Kearny!”
Faith D’Isa and Nicholas Fabbricatore will take the stage in the classic 50s musical as Sandy and Danny. Devin Wason is Rizzo, while Shawn McEntee will take on the role of Kenickie. Breann Mobus will appear as Frenchy, Adrian Yllatopa as Doody, and Rachael McGee as Marty. Breana Braell is Vi.
Brandon Fonesca will portray Roger, Carolina Martins is Jan, Hector Babilonia is Sonny, and Samantha Sawh is Miss Lynch. Victoria Amaro is Cha-Cha, with Michael Batista as Eugene and Alyssa Schirm as Patty Simcox. Chelsea Santiago will take the stage as ‘Jenny’ Casino and Rickey Dasalveria will perform as Vince Fountain. Rounding out the cast is Kyrsten Fabbricatore, Jessica Cavalier, Michael Amaro, Kristen Grzymko, Meagan Sullivan, Gabriella Yllatopa, Anjela Coloma, McKenzie Kilduff, Chelsea Dantas, Caitlin Bond, Roxana Ron and Noelle Florio.
