KEARNY – The Kearny Board of Education celebrated the Grand Opening of the kitchen facility at Schuyler School on Tuesday, April 7. The school conducted a contest to name the kitchen and the winning entry, "Schuyler's Lunchbox," was submitted by Desiree Fletcher, a sixth grade student. Until now, all of the student’s lunches were prepared in the kitchen at Kearny High School and then delivered daily to the elementary schools. With the new kitchen facility, the student's at Schuyler School will have their lunches prepared right on the premises, easing the burden on the high school kitchen.
